What’s The Tea, Sis?! Tiwa Savage Says It’s A Sin To Be A Woman In Africa

Tiwa Savage is one of the most successful musicians in Africa and that is saying a lot considering how hard it is for women to attain career success in this part of the world.
In a fresh Instagram rant, Tiwa Savage shared her thoughts on the woes of being a woman in Africa. Well, considering the fact that women’s rights are alnodo  nonexistent in these parts, she’s kinda right!
She said:
It’s a sin to be a woman in Africa #FeelLikeGivingUp #TiredOfFighting #TiredOfProvingMyself #TiredOfSmiling

Same here, sis! You see, Tiwa has paid her dues and deserves more than accolades! This year alone, she sold out her first headline concert, dropped mad songs and sold fire merch for her fans. However, for some reason, she is still relegated to the *female artist category* despite pulling the same numbers as her male counterparts. She also talked about how her gender affects her pay in an interview with SoundCity Radio, which is rather unfortunate to say the least.
However, Mama Jam Jam has surprisingly rejected the feminist train on many occasions because she thinks “A man is the head of the home“. We’re not judging o, but how else can Mama J survive being sidelined other than joining the side that fights for equality for women?
Unless there is another movement that advocates for justice for women, perhaps she should reconsider her stance or keep chopping the L that is misogyny. What do you think, though? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
