Gov. Gboyega Oyetola of Osun has announced the relaxation of the curfew imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.    Oyetola in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, on Friday in Osogbo, also ordered civil servants on grade level Seven and above to resume work within normal office hours. He directed departmental heads to work out alternate working hours for staff on grade levels One to Six. Oyetola further said that the curfew was earlier 6. p.m to 6. a.m would now be from 9.p.m to 5.a.m daily. The governor, however, said that the curfew would be relaxed for 14 days in the first instance. Oyetola also said that the total lockdown earlier imposed on the state from Friday to Sunday had been eased for 14 days in the first instance. Twenty-six more COVID-19 patients have been discharged in Lagos.   A statement released by the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says of the 26 patients discharged, 13 of them are males while 13 others are females. ‘Good people of Lagos, today, 26 COVID-19 Lagos patients; 13 males and 13 females, all Nigerians, were discharged from our Yaba, Onikan and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation facilities to reunite with the society. ‘The patients, 6 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 11 from Onikan and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged, haven fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings. ‘With this, the number of #COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos state is now 528,” he said.

A 52 year old woman known as Lisa Urso, has been found dead in her home in Illinois after she was mauled to death by her French bulldog.   Lisa had recently adopted the dog, which authorities say was bred to fight, and she was found dead at the back of her Ingleside home on Saturday evening.   According to reports, the dog had attacked her boyfriend on a previous occasion.
