Nigerian music pop star B'banj popularly known as kokomaster, has revealed three shocking things about record label owners in the Nigerian music industry. This thought of his can be described in three precise statements.
- Most recored labels are owned by yahoo boys.
- Nigerian artistes lack capacity.
- Record label owners don't know anything about music.
Here are the exact words of the kokomaster.. "Most of the new generation record labels are founded by yahoo boys. You must understand first why you are coming into music.
" Nigerian artistes need a lot of capacity building. It is only in Nigeria that the owner of a record label doesn't know anything about music.
"Just like any product, you must always evolve. The fear of being poor made me think outside the box. This is one of the factors that drove me into music."
Obviously D'banj feels a sense of responsibility when it comes steady improvement in the Nigerian music industry.

As part of his efforts towards developing education at the grassroots, a young entrepreneur, Alhaji Tajudeen Adefisoye has organized a free summer coaching class for school children in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State. In a statement made available to news men  on Wednesday  in Akure, the state capital, Adefisoye said the free coaching classes which had commenced since 7th August, would come to an end on  September 15th, 2017 , urging secondary school students in the council area to participate. According to the statement, the exercise would be held across three centres between  8 am and 12noon  which include, Baptist Secondary School, Igbara-Oke, St Andrew Anglican Primary School, Ilara-Mokin and Adinlewa Nursery and Primary School, Ijare all in Ifedore council area.
