 A google doodle is being dedicated to Flora Nwapa's 86th Posthumous birthday. She was born on the 13th of January 1931 and died on October 16, 1993.     doodles are Google logos usually changed to celebrate holiday am anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists m ,Pioneers and scientists.   Flora's first book Efuru was published in 1966 in English just after Chinua Achebe's Thinga Fall Apart . She was also the first female commissioner of the then East Central states.

The pman president Mr Pretty OKafor said in an interview that the economic situation is in no way affecting the entertainment industry , unlike other industries  in the country who were letting go of some staffs due to financial issues the entertainment industry had been employing people . He further added that no African artiste was collecting as much as the Nigerian artistes who now  collect between $100,000 to $150,000 for a single performance as well as fly private jets anywhere in the world. He also noted that the Nigerian Brand of entertainment is competing with the global stage.

P resident Akufo-Addo did not attribute the statement to anyone in his speech Since the revelation that that portion of the speech was plagiarised,  Director of Communication at the Presidency , Eugene Arhin, has issued an apology. "My attention has been drawn to references being made to a statement in the speech delivered by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at his swearing in on Saturday, January 7, 2017, which was not duly acknowledged. "I unreservedly apologise for the non-acknowledgement of this quote to the original author. It was a complete oversight, and never deliberate.
